ImaGeo develops a portal and tools that support tourists and users on the move to access on-the-spot information about cultural objects and share and retrieve information regarding cultural attractions and routes, with one click. The main advantages of ImaGeo are:

  • The easy to retrieve interface of information related to objects which tourists are capturing with their mobile device or camera and
  • The increased usability of the ImaGeo web platform where users can with one click, share, display and retrieve geo-information

ImaGeo builds its developments on the expertise of the project partners in open service-oriented architectures, advanced solutions for experiencing, searching and accessing geo-temporal media content and mobile delivery, and access of media content.

The project is partially funded by the European GNSS Supervisory Authority and plans to build upon GALILEO and develop a mass-market application for the tourism sector.
